Summary:
BeFine is a personal finance tool designed for people struggling financially, guiding them towards financial stability. It helps users pay off debt, save for emergencies, and create a workable budget. My team joined the project after it had already started because the client was unhappy with the initial version. The client identified that the app was missing two crucial features needed for success.
The Ask:
Integrate accounts for automatic spending tracking, balance checking, and budget monitoring.
Add in-app messaging for real-time feedback and guidance.
Conduct a thorough audit to improve UX/UI without a full redesign.
My Role
As the UI lead, I was responsible for the app's layout and design. I improved the colors, fonts, and overall balance. The UX designer and I collaborated on integrating the new features and added enjoyable micro-interactions to enhance the user experience. We worked with a copywriter to create motivational messages that supported the user along their journey to financial wellness.
